Launch of ICTY Online Court Records Database

The Tribunal’s public Court Records database was launched today on the organisation’s website:

www.icty.org

This important resource contains all Tribunal public court records, from the first filing submitted in 1994 through to today.  More than 150,000 records are available on the database and, with the Tribunal’s courtrooms currently operating at full capacity, many more documents and other materials are added on a daily basis.

As a global leader in judicial transparency, the Tribunal is dedicated to ensuring its work and public court records are accessible.

This fully searchable and multi-lingual database is a key Tribunal legacy product. In addition to being a vital research tool, it is anticipated that it will benefit agencies and legal professionals working to ensure judicial accountability for those persons suspected of serious violations of international law.
