German President to visit Tribunal

German President Joachim Gauck

The German President Joachim Gauck will be visiting the Tribunal on Thursday, 30 May 2013, as part of a wider visit to the international courts in The Hague.

President Gauck will meet with the Tribunal’s Vice-President, Judge Carmel Agius, and Prosecutor Serge Brammertz. He will be introduced to the Tribunal’s Judges, including Judge Christoph Flϋgge, who will provide him with an update on the ongoing cases. President Gauck will also have an opportunity to meet the Tribunal’s German staff members.

Journalists are cordially invited to cover President Gauck’s visit. There will be two media opportunities, one upon President Gauck’s arrival at 11:20 and one at 12:35 when he will address the media in the lobby.
