TRIAL CHAMBER II of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons

Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the

Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal");

BEING SEIZED of the emergency motion for extension of time pursuant to Rule 72

submitted by the Defence on 2 August 1999;

NOTING the reasons for this request as set out by the Defence in the emergency motion;

CONSIDERING that this constitutes "good cause" for the variation of time limits pursuant

to Rule 127 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal;

NOTING that the Prosecution does not object to the granting of such an extension of time;

HEREBY GRANTS the motion of the Defence and order that the time for filing motions

pursuant to Rule 72 be extended until 2 September 1999.
