I, THEODOR MERON, President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia Since 1991 ("Tribunal"),

NOTING the Judgement and Opinion rendered by the Trial Chamber in this case on 5 December 2003;

NOTING the request filed by the Counsel for Mr. Stanislav Galic on 15 December 2003, seeking an extension of the date by which he must file a Notice of Appeal until 30 days from the date on which the official French translation of the Judgement and Opinion is available;

CONSIDERING the composition of the Appeals Chamber of the Tribunal as set out in Document IT/222, dated 17 November 2003;

CONSIDERING Articles 12(3) and 14(3) of the Statute of the Tribunal;

NOTING Article 14(2) of the Statute of the Tribunal, which provides that the President of the Tribunal is ex officio the Presiding Judge of the Appeals Chamber;

HEREBY ORDER that in Case No. IT-98-29-A, The Prosecutor v. Stanislav Galic, the Appeals Chamber shall be composed, with immediate effect, as follows:

Judge Fausto Pocar

Judge Mohamed Shahabuddeen

Judge Florence Mumba

Judge Wolfgang Schomburg

AND DESIGNATE, pursuant to Rule 65 ter and Rule 107 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal, Judge Florence Mumba as Pre-Appeal Judge with responsibility for all pre-appeal proceedings in this case.
