THE Appeals Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the Appeals Chamber"),

BEING SEISED OF an "Urgent Motion to Extend Time for Filing of Appeal Brief", filed by the Appellant on 7 July 2000 ("the Urgent Motion"), in which the Appellant seeks an order under Rule 127(B) allowing an extension of time for the filing of his Appeal Brief by 28 days to 7 August 2000;

NOTING the "Order for Provisional Extension of Time and Response by the Prosecutor", filed on 10 July 2000;

NOTING the "Prosecution Response to the Defence’s Urgent Motion to Extend Time for Filing of Appeal Brief", filed on 13 July 2000, in which the Prosecutor opposes the Defence request for an extension of time;

NOTING that, pursuant to Rule 127(B), the Appeals Chamber may enlarge any time prescribed by or under the Rules, on good cause being shown by motion;

HEREBY ORDERS that time for the filing of Appellants’ Briefs shall be provisionally extended by four days to 21 July 2000 to enable the Appeals Chamber to deliberate on and to decide on the Urgent Motion;
