I, RICHARD MAY, Judge of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal")

HAVING BEEN APPOINTED as pre-trial Judge in this matter by virtue of an order of the Trial Chamber dated 13 April 2000,

DESIRING to regulate the filing of and response to motions in this matter,

PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal

HEREBY ORDER as follows:

(1) the moving party shall include a draft order for relief with each motion submitted to the Trial Chamber;

(2) unless specifically ordered otherwise, the receiving party has fourteen calendar days from the date of filing of the motion to file its response, if any;

(3) dates for further responses, if any, shall be set by the Trial Chamber upon request of either party; and

(4) there will be no oral argument on the motion unless specifically requested by counsel for either party and approved by the Trial Chamber, taking into account the need to ensure a fair and expeditious trial.
