2 [Open session]

3 [The accused entered court]

4 --- Upon commencing at 9.10 a.m.

5 JUDGE ORIE: Good morning to everyone.

6 Madam Registrar, would you please call the case.

7 THE REGISTRAR: Case Number IT-00-39-T, The Prosecutor versus

8 Momcilo Krajisnik.

9 JUDGE ORIE: Thank you, Madam Registrar.

10 We're ready to return in closed session, unless there would be

11 anything. I see both parties standing. Well, shall we give Ms. Loukas--

12 MR. HARMON: Your Honour, we're ready to proceed, and we would

13 like to proceed forthwith with the evidence because of the scheduling

14 issues that I raised earlier.

15 JUDGE ORIE: Yes, I do understand.

16 Ms. Loukas.

17 MS. LOUKAS: Yes, thank you, Your Honour. I can be brief. I have

18 foreshadowed both to the Prosecution through Ms. Karagiannakis and to

19 Mr. Hemptinne to the Trial Chamber that I would be making application in

20 relation to a forthcoming witness next week, Ms. Hansen, and I can

21 indicate, Your Honour, that my application is that that witness's evidence

22 not be taken next week as the Defence is not in a position to deal with

23 her at this stage. I can further elaborate. I note that there's a

24 witness outside, and I certainly don't want to delay the Trial Chamber at

25 this time. I can address the Trial Chamber at some other more convenient

Page 6817

1 time later today.

2 JUDGE ORIE: Yes. I was informed that this message has -- well,

3 has been passed to the Prosecution. Is there any possibility of

4 rescheduling so -- such as to accommodate the Defence.

5 MR. HARMON: Your Honour, we would -- we're going to be discussing

6 that request we got late yesterday afternoon and we have not had a time to

7 discuss it. We are prepared to discuss it fully with counsel and with the

8 Court but at a later time.

9 JUDGE ORIE: But whether that leads to any result, if so, well, of

10 course the Chamber would be happy. If not, we'll have to see what to do.

11 Then we now turn for the present witness into closed session.
