THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),
CONSIDERING the consolidated indictment against Zeljko Meakic ("Accused") and others1 dated 5 July 2002,
CONSIDERING the transfer of the Accused to the International Tribunal on 4 July 2003,
CONSIDERING the initial appearance of the Accused to be held on 7 July 2003 pursuant to Rule 62 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("Rules")
PURSUANT TO Rules 54 and 64 of the Rules,
HEREBY ORDERS the detention on remand of the Accused and enjoins the Commanding Officer of the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague to detain the Accused until further order.
