TRIAL CHAMBER II ("Trial Chamber") of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("Tribunal"),

NOTING that Rule 81(D) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal provides that photography, video-recording or audio-recording of the trial, otherwise than by the Registrar, may be authorised at the discretion of the Trial Chamber;

NOTING that the pre-trial conference in the case Prosecutor v. Mile Mrksic et al., is scheduled for Monday 10 October 2005 at 1500 hours;

HAVING CONSIDERED the request of certain members of the press;

PURSUANT TO Rule 81 (D) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal;

HEREBY ORDERS that, subject to any further order of the Trial Chamber, the taking of still photographs by designated press photographers before the commencement of the pre-trial conference is authorised as directed by the Chief of Security of the International Tribunal’s Security Service.
