2 [Open session]

3 [The accused entered court]

4 --- Upon commencing at 9.03 a.m.

5 JUDGE ANTONETTI: [Interpretation] Please, Mr. Registrar, call the

6 case.

7 THE REGISTRAR: Your Honours, this is case number IT-04-74-T, the

8 Prosecutor versus Prlic et al. Thank you.

9 JUDGE ANTONETTI: [Interpretation] Thank you, Mr. Registrar.

10 Today is the 24th of April, 2007. My greetings to the people from

11 the OTP. Good morning to the Defence counsel, and also to the accused.

12 As you know, today we're going to have a witness. Before we start

13 with the issue of protective measures and the implementation thereof, I

14 believe that Mr. Karnavas wanted to speak.

15 Is it within the framework of the coming testimony or is it

16 related to something else? If this is in relation to the testimony, we'll

17 move to private session.

18 MR. KARNAVAS: Good morning, Mr. President; good morning,

19 Your Honours. It is in relation to this particular witness. I do believe

20 that we can stay in open court because I won't be mentioning any names.

21 JUDGE ANTONETTI: [Interpretation] Very well. One moment. You say

22 that you want to remain in open court whilst this is in relation to the

23 witness who was granted protective measures.

24 So what do you think, Mr. Scott, on the issue? What do you think

25 of this?

Page 17417

1 MR. SCOTT: Your Honour, I would think out of -- excuse me. Good

2 morning, Your Honours, Mr. President, and all those in the courtroom.

3 Your Honour, I would think it would be the wiser course. Certain

4 things may be said which might disclose certain matters, and this is a

5 provider who is particularly sensitive about these matters, and I think

6 out of an abundance of caution it would be better if we went into private

7 session.

8 JUDGE ANTONETTI: [Interpretation] Fine. We decide to move to

9 private session.
