I, FAUSTO POCAR, Judge of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

HAVING BEEN DESIGNATED as duty Judge by the President of the International Tribunal pursuant to Rule 28 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules") for the period from 9 to 16 November 2001;

NOTING the indictment against Miodrag Jokic submitted by the Prosecutor of the International Tribunal and confirmed by Judge Patricia Wald on 27 February 2001;

NOTING the surrender of Miodrag Jokic to the International Tribunal on 12 November 2001;

PURSUANT to Rule 28, Rule 54 and Rule 64 of the Rules;

HEREBY ORDER the detention of Miodrag Jokic following his surrender, and instruct the Commander of the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague to detain the Accused until further order.
