I, WOLFGANG SCHOMBURG, a Judge of the Appeals Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the International Tribunal");

NOTING that the Appeals Chamber is seized of appeals lodged by Dario Kordic on 12 March 2001, Mario Cerkez on 12 March 2001 and the Office of the Prosecutor on 13 March 2001 from the Judgement of the Trial Chamber in the case of Prosecutor v Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez rendered on 26 February 2001;


NOTING that pursuant to Rule 22(B) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("Rules"), I have been elected as Presiding Judge of the Appeals Chamber in the appeals;

NOTING that Rules 65ter and 107 of the Rules authorize mutatis mutandis the Presiding Judge of the Appeals Chamber to designate a member of the Appeals Chamber to be responsible for pre-appeal proceedings ("Pre-Appeal Judge");

HEREBY DESIGNATE, with immediate effect, myself as Pre-Appeal Judge.
