I, RICHARD MAY, Judge of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

HAVING BEEN APPOINTED as pre-trial Judge in this matter by virtue of an order of the Trial Chamber dated 13 April 2000,

BEING SEISED of a "Defence Application for Leave to Reply to Prosecution’s Response to Defence’s Preliminary Motions" filed on 23 June 2000 by the Defence ("the Request"),

NOTING the Order for filing of motions issued by the Trial Chamber on 13 April 2000 which provided that dates for further responses shall be set by the Trial Chamber upon the request of either party,

CONSIDERING the reasons given in support of the Request,

PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal,

HEREBY GRANT the Request and ORDER as follows:

  1. the Defence shall have until Tuesday 4 July 2000 to file a reply to the Prosecution’s Response; and
  2. a motions hearing on the preliminary motions and a status conference shall be held on Wednesday 19 July 2000, commencing at 2.30 p.m.
