DECISION ON APPELLANT REQUESTS FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME

I, Judge David Hunt, Pre-Appeal Judge,

NOTING the "Defence Request for Extension of Time" filed by Mlado Radic and Dragoljub Prcac on 21 January 2002; "Kvocka’s Request for Extension of a Time Limit for Filing the Appellant’s Brief" filed by Miroslav Kvocka on 25 January 2002 and "Motion To Extend Time for Filing Appellant’s Brief" filed by Milojica Kos on 25 January 2002, in which each of these four Appellants seeks an extension of time for the filing of their Appellant’s brief of 30 days from the date of delivery of the translation of the Judgment, Prosecutor v  Miroslav Kvocka, Milojica Kos, Mlado Radic, Zoran Zigic, Dragoljub Prcac ("Judgment") in the BSC language;

NOTING the "Motion to Extend Time for Filing of the Appellant’s Brief – Defence for the Accused Zoran Zigic" filed on 21 January 2002, in which Zoran Zigic seeks an extension of time for the filing of his Appellant brief of two months from the expiry of the time limit prescribed by Rule 111 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence ("Rules");

NOTING that the Prosecution has not filed any responses to the Appellants’ applications but has orally indicated that the applications are not opposed;

CONSIDERING that the Conference and Language Services Section has advised the Appeals Chamber that the Judgment will be rendered in the BSC language in early March 2002;

CONSIDERING FURTHER that Rule 127B allows the Appeals Chamber to grant a motion to extend a time limit upon a showing of good cause, and that good cause has been shown by each of the Appellants;

HEREBY ORDER:

1. Each of the Appellants is granted an extension of time until 15 April 2002 in which to file his Appellant’s brief.
