I, Mohamed Shahabuddeen, a Judge of the Appeals Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the International Tribunal");

NOTING that the Appeals Chamber is seised of the "Notice of Appeal Against the Judgement filled [sic] by Miroslav Kvocka in Accordance With Rule 108 of Rules of Procedure and Evidence" filed on 13 November 2001, "Defence Notice of Appeal" filed on 15 November 2001, "Defence Notice of Appeal" filed on 15 November 2001, "Defendant’s Notice of Appeal" filed on 16 November 2001 and "Notice on the SsicC Appeal" filed on 16 November 2001 from the Judgement of Trial Chamber I in Prosecutor v  Miroslav Kvocka, Milojica Kos, Mlado Radic, Zoran Zigic, Dragoljub Prcac, dated 2 November 2001 ("appeals");

NOTING that, pursuant to Rule 22(B) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules"), I have been elected as Presiding Judge of the Appeals Chamber in the appeals;

NOTING that Rule 65ter of the Rules, read together with Rule 107 of the Rules, authorises the Presiding Judge of the Appeals Chamber to designate a member of the Appeals Chamber to be responsible for pre-appeal proceedings ("the Pre-Appeal Judge");

HEREBY DESIGNATE, with immediate effect, Judge David Hunt as Pre-Appeal Judge with responsibility for all pre-appeal proceedings in the appeals.
