TRIAL CHAMBER I (the "Chamber") of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 (the "Tribunal");

BEING SEISED OF the Application by Fatmir Limaj for extension of time to file Defence pre-trial Brief filed on 20 May 2004 and the "Application by Isak Musliu for Extension of Time to File Defence Pre-trial Brief" filed on 21 May 2004" (the "Requests"), whereby the Defence of Limaj and Musliu requests an extension of time to file their pre-trial briefs on the grounds that the Defence encountered difficulties to meet their clients at the United Nations Detention Unit in order to take instructions for the preparation of the pre-trial briefs;

NOTING that the Prosecution does not oppose the extension of time requested by the Defence;

NOTING that the Defence of the accused Haradin Bala requested orally a similar extension of time to file its pre-trial brief on 21 May 2004;

NOTING Rule 127 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence which provides inter alia that a Chamber may enlarge any time prescribed within the Rules on good cause being shown; that the Defence requests an extension of time until 31 May 2004 to file their pre-trial briefs; that the Chamber finds it appropriate in this case to grant an extension of time to the three accused Limaj, Bala and Musliu to file their pre-trial briefs;

PURSUANT TO Rule 127;

HEREBY grants the Defence’s requests for enlargement of time-limit and ORDERS the Defence to file their pre-trial briefs by 31 May 2004.
