I, Carmel Agius, Presiding Judge of Trial Chamber II of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("Tribunal");
NOTING the Indictment in the case The Prosecutor v. Mico Stanisic, confirmed by Judge Amin El Mahdi on 25 February 2005;
NOTING the Decision by Judge Amin El Mahdi dated 10 March lifting the confidentiality of the Indictment against Mico Stanisic;
NOTING that Mico Stanisic ("Accused") surrendered and was transferred to the seat of the Tribunal on 11 March 2005;
NOTING the Order by the President of the Tribunal dated 11 March 2005, assigning the case against Mico Stanisic to Trial Chamber II;
CONSIDERING that it is in the interests of justice and of an expeditious trial to appoint a judge of the Trial Chamber for the purpose of the initial appearance;
PURSUANT TO Rule 62 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal;
HEREBY DESIGNATE myself, Judge Carmel Agius, as Judge of Trial Chamber II for the initial appearance of Mico Stanisic.
