I, THEODOR MERON, President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia Since 1991 ("Tribunal"),

NOTING the Indictment in The Prosecutor v. Milan Lukic, Srodeje Lukic and Mitar Vasiljevic, filed on 28 October 1998, and the Amended Indictment, filed on 12 July 2001;

NOTING the transfer, on 16 September 2005, of the accused Sredoje Lukic to the seat of the Tribunal;

CONSIDERING that no Trial Chamber is currently seised of this matter;

NOTING that Rule 19 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal authorizes the President of the Tribunal to coordinate the work of the Chambers;

CONSIDERING the trial management and case distribution needs of the Tribunal;

HEREBY ASSIGN, effective immediately, the present case to Trial Chamber III.
