MEDIA ACCREDITATION
On 2 October 2002, Biljana Plavsic entered a plea of "guilty" on count three of her Indictment. The Prosecution dropped the remaining seven counts in the Indictment. The Trial Chamber scheduled the Sentencing Hearing for 16,17 and 18 December 2002 from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December, and closing arguments from 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 18 December. All media organisations wishing to apply for a seat in the public gallery of Courtroom I during the hearing must submit an accreditation form. Due to the high media interest, we will only allow one person per media organisation access to the public gallery of the courtroom, as there are limited seats (85) allocated for the media.
The accreditation registration process will open on Monday 9 December 2002 at 10.00 a.m. on our internet site and will close on Thursday 12 December 2002 at 12.00 p.m.
On Friday 13 December 2002, we will post the list of names and media organisations that have been granted access to the public gallery of Courtroom I on our internet site. If your name appears on the above mentioned list you can present yourself on Sunday 15 December 2002 to collect your accreditation between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. at the main entrance of the Tribunal. Journalists who have not received accreditation for the public gallery will be able to view the hearing in English on television screens, either live in the public gallery of Courtroom III, or in the lobby of the Tribunal, with a 30-minute delay.
The lobby will be equipped with workspaces, power outlets and will open at 8.30 a.m. on 16, 17 and 18 December 2002.

Please note that there will be no phone or ISDN lines provided.
