THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

BEING SEISED of the "Prosecution’s request for directions and/or extension of time" filed by the Office of the Prosecutor on 24 March 1999 ("the Request"),

NOTING that the Scheduling Order issued by the Trial Chamber on 19 March 1999 contains a number of errors which together have given rise to the Request,

PURSUANT to Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal

HEREBY VACATES the said Scheduling Order and ORDERS as follows:

  1. the Prosecution shall file its pre-trial brief by Wednesday 31 March 1999;
  2. a pre-trial conference shall be held on Thursday 29 April 1999, commencing at 2.30 p.m., at which time dates for filing all other items required pursuant to Rule 73 bis (B) shall be set;
  3. the Prosecution shall disclose to the Defence, pursuant to Rule 66 (A)(ii), all witness statements, in a language the accused understand, not less than one week before the pre-trial conference, that is, by Thursday 22 April 1999;
  4. if the Prosecution seeks protective measures in respect of any of the statements to be disclosed, it shall make the relevant applications to the Trial Chamber not less than two weeks before the date on which disclosure is to be completed.

All accused shall be present for the pre-trial conference, save that the accused Milan Simic may be represented by his counsel.
