I, Carmel Agius, Presiding Judge of Trial Chamber II of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("Tribunal");
NOTING the indictment in the case Prosecutor v. Savo Todovic of 4 June 1997;
NOTING that the Accused has been detained and transferred
to the seat of the Tribunal on
15 January 2005;
NOTING that the Vice-President of the Tribunal assigned the case against Savo Todovic ("the Accused") to Trial Chamber II by an order dated 18 January 2005;
NOTING my decision of 18 January 2005 to appoint me as judge of Trial Chamber II for the purpose of the initial appearance of the Accused;
PURSUANT TO Rule 64 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence;
HEREBY ORDER the detention on remand of the Accused and enjoin the Commanding Officer of the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague to detain the Accused until further order.
