I, THEODOR MERON, President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

NOTING the appeal lodged by Mitar Vasiljevic on 30 December 2002 from the Judgment of Trial Chamber II, dated 29 November 2002, in the case of The Prosecutor v. Mitar Vasiljevic;

CONSIDERING the composition of the Appeals Chamber of the International Tribunal as set out in Document IT/215 of the International Tribunal, dated 13 June 2003;

CONSIDERING Articles 12(3) and 14(3) of the Statute of the International Tribunal;

CONSIDERING the need to expedite the hearing and resolution of the appeal;

PURSUANT TO Rule 27(C) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal;

HEREBY ASSIGN, with immediate effect, Judge Wolfgang Schomburg to replace Judge Claude Jorda in the present case;

AND DETERMINE that the Appeals Chamber in case No. IT-98-32-A, The Prosecutor v. Mitar Vasiljevic, shall now be composed as follows:
