Liam McDowall, Senior Policy Advisor to the Registry, made the following statement:
The judgment against Dragomir Milošević is scheduled for next Wednesday, 12 December, at 9 a.m. in courtroom I. Milošević was charged with conducting a campaign of terror against civilians during the siege of Sarajevo.
There are two status conferences scheduled for next week: Lukić and Lukić on 10 December at 10 a.m. and Zdravko Tolimir on 11 December at 2:15 p.m. Both of these will take place in courtroom II. The contempt hearing against Dragan Jokić will take place on Monday at 3 p.m. in courtroom II.
Next week, the trials for Popović et al. and Milutinović et al. will continue and the Prlić et al. case will resume. The Delić trial will only sit next Monday. Next week will also see the resumption of the Šeselj trial with the first evidentiary hearing taking place on 11 December at 9 a.m. in courtroom I.
Olga Kavran, Spokesperson for the Office of the Prosecutor, made the following statement:
The Prosecutor was in Belgrade on Monday where she met with President Tadic, Prime Minister Kostunica, Prosecutor Vukcevic, Minister Rasim Ljajic, as well as other members of the Action Team. The topic of her meetings was cooperation with the Tribunal, and particularly the search for remaining fugitives. Prosecutor Del Ponte emphasised that she expects results – the arrest and transfer of Ratko Mladic and the remaining fugitives.
Prosecutor Del Ponte was in Brussels yesterday where she attended the "Balkans Crossroads" conference organised by Friends of Europe.
On Monday, 10 December, the Prosecutor will be in New York to submit to the Security Council her final biannual report on the Office the Prosecutor’s work and the Completion Strategy. Following her address to the Security Council, she will hold a press conference at UN Headquarters. The exact time and venue will be announced by the Media Office in New York.
Prosecutor Del Ponte will be holding her farewell Press Conference here at the Tribunal on 13 December at 3 p.m. Of course, you are all welcome to attend.
