Registry and Chambers:
Jim Landale, Spokesman for Registry and Chambers,
made the following statement:
Good afternoon,
The Appeals Chamber Judgement in The Prosecutor v. Dragan Nikolic will be
rendered this Friday at 4 p.m. in Courtroom I. You
will recall that Nikolic was sentenced to 23 years’
imprisonment on 18 December last year by Trial Chamber
II after pleading guilty to four counts of crimes
against humanity. In January, he appealed that sentence.
You are all welcome to attend.
The Milosevic trial will resume
on Tuesday 8 February.
There will be status conferences
in The Prosecutor v. Radoslav Brdjanin tomorrow
at 3 p.m. in Courtroom II; The Prosecutor v.
Cermak and Markac this Friday, 4 February at
2.30 p.m. also in Courtroom II; in The Prosecutor
v. Mrksic, Radic and Sljivancanin also this
Friday at 2.30 p.m. in Courtroom I; and in The
Prosecutor v. Ljubisa Beara next Wednesday 9
February at 3 p.m. in Courtroom II.
Office of the Prosecutor:
No one was present for the Office
of the Prosecutor.
Questions:
Asked when the Milosevic trial
would resume and how serious Milosevic’s illness
was, Landale replied that he believed that it was
a bout of the flu and the plan was to go ahead next
Tuesday with the trial.
