Questions

Asked if any further progess had been made on
the transfer of Milan Lukic and Dragan Zelenovic,
Landale said that regarding Lukic, the Tribunal was
confident that he would be transferred as soon as
the necessary legal, logistical and practical arrangements
had been ironed out. Landale also stated that the
Deputy Registrar had been in Argentina last week
discussing the various issues with the authorities
there. The discussions were very positive and constructive
and it was really just a matter of putting the necessary
arrangements in place, Landale said.

As for the transfer of Dragan Zelenovic, Landale
referred to the press release issued last Friday
stating that the Tribunal had welcomed Zelenovic’s
reported arrest. Landale said that the appropriate
authorities had been contacted to arrange for his
transfer to The Hague. The Tribunal did not see any
potential difficulties with the transfer and he said
that he hoped it was just a matter of time before
it took place.
