Djukic case terminated by the death of the accused.

Following the death of General Djukic, the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Judge Antonio Cassese, ruled on 29 May 1996 that all proceedings would automatically cease.

Subsequently, the Prosecutor's appeal against the refusal of Trial Chamber I to withdraw the indictment on humanitarian grounds has been terminated and the scheduled hearing has been cancelled.
