He is charged with participating in the beating, torture and murder of several Keraterm detainees and is directly implicated in
the wilful killing of five named detainees: Jasmin Izejiri, Spija Mesic, Drago Tokmanovic, Emsud Bahonjic and "Car".

The crimes alleged give rise to the following charges: four counts of Grave Breaches (wilful killing, contrary to Article 2 (a) of the Statute); four counts of Violations of the Laws and Customs of War (murder), contrary to article 3 of the Statute and 3 (1) (a) of the Geneva Conventions; and seven counts of Crimes against Humanity, three in the alternative.

Four of these counts charge Lajic with murder, contrary to Article 5(a) of the Statute, while the three alternative counts charge Lajic with inhumane acts, contrary to Article 5 (i) of the Statute.
