The Hague, 11 March 2004
JL/P.I.S./829e

Communication Restrictions on Slobodan Milosevic Lifted

On 9 March 2004, the Deputy Registrar, David Tolbert, informed Slobodan Milosevic in a letter that he had decided not to extend the communications restrictions against him imposed in a Decision on 11 December 2003 and in subsequent Decisions of 9 January 2004 and 6 February 2004.

In the letter to Mr. Milosevic, the Deputy Registrar said that in coming to his decision, he had noted that Mr. Milosevic had complied with the previous Decisions.

However, the Deputy Registrar once again warned Mr. Milo{evi} that direct or indirect communication with the media was prohibited and that any action that was likely to frustrate the Tribunal’s mandate or result in a violation of the Tribunal’s Detention Rules and instructions of the Commanding Officer will result in a reinstatement of the communications restrictions.
