Registry and Chambers:


Jim Landale, Spokesman for Registry and Chambers,
made the following statement:


Good afternoon,


I am extremely pleased to be able to announce
that Hans Holthuis and John Hocking have been re-appointed Registrar
and appointed Deputy Registrar, respectively. Starting on 1 January
2005, Hans Holthuis' new term will run until 2008. John Hocking
had been Acting Deputy Registrar since 1 September and his appointment
is effective 1 December 2004.


In terms of other Outreach activities:


The Tribunal is this week participating in two
conferences that concern the prosecution of war crimes in Bosnia
and Herzegovina and the transition from the ICTY to domestic courts.
The first of the two conferences was held over the last two days
in Brcko, and the second is being held tomorrow and Friday in Sarajevo.
The audience consists of local judges, prosecutors and attorneys.
The conferences have been organised by the Central European and
Eurasian Law Initiative of the American Bar Association in cooperation
with domestic institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


In terms of the court schedule:


Next week, the last before the recess, is yet another
busy week, with the Milosevic, Limaj et al., Oric, Hadzihasanovic
and Kubura, and Krajisnik trials continuing in all three of our
courtrooms.


A few reminders:


There will be a pre-trial conference in the case
concerning allegations against Milka Maglov on Monday, 13 December
2004, starting at 3 p.m.


In The Prosecutor v. Dario Kordic and Mario
Cerkez
, the Appeals Chamber will render its judgement on Appeal
on 17 December 2004 at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom I.


There will be a status conference in The Prosecutor
v. Milan Babic
on 17 December at 4.30 p.m. in Courtroom II.
