Nerma Jelačić, Spokesperson for Registry and Chambers, made the following statement:

Good afternoon,

I will go straight to the court schedule.

The Prosecution is expected to complete presenting its evidence in the trial of Milan and Sredoje Lukić tomorrow. Rule 98bis submissions are currently scheduled to take place on 11 November and a judgement related to them will be rendered on Wednesday 12 November 2008. As you know, the Tribunal’s rules stipulate that at the end of the Prosecution’s case an accused can ask the Trial Chamber to acquit him of charges for which there was insufficient evidence. The Defence of Sredoje Lukić is scheduled to commence their case on 20 November 2008.

Next week a further initial appearance of Florence Hartmann is scheduled to take place on Friday, 14 November 2008. She will be asked to enter a plea to charges of contempt.

For the remainder of the week, hearings will continue in the case of Vojislav Sešelj, Gotovina and others and Popović and others.

Next week sees the continuation of the trials of Gotovina and others, Vojislav Šešelj, Lukić and Lukić, Momcilo Perišić, Prlić and others and Popović and others.
