APPEALS CHAMBER JUDGEMENT THE PROSECUTOR V. MILAN BABIC


Please be advised that the Appeals Judgement in The Prosecutor v. Milan Babic will be rendered on Monday, 18 July 2005 at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom III before the Appeals Chamber.


Background


On 29 June 2004, Milan Babic was sentenced to 13 years' imprisonment by Trial Chamber I after he entered a guilty plea on 27 January 2004 on one count of the indictment (please refer to Press Release 818), namely persecutions on political, racial and religious grounds as a crime against humanity. Milan Babic appealed the Trial Chamber Judgement on 3 September 2004.
