Blaskic case

During the hearing of 4 December 1996, the Defence of the accused BLASKIC, which had already filed three preliminary motions, announced that it will submit two others.

As a consequence, the Judges of Trial Chamber I observed that the original date of 8 January 1997 for the beginning of the trial, originally agreed upon by both parties, could not be implemented.

A new date for the commencement of the trial will be set after the preliminary motion's procedure.
