The UN Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT) is undertaking a project to unify the entire judicial records of the ICTR, ICTY, and the MICT into a single comprehensive database - the Unified Judicial Database (UJDB). The UJDB will replace the existing databases that were created separately by the ICTR and the ICTY.
A public version of the UJDB will be made accessible from the MICT, ICTY and ICTR websites. It will replace the ICTY's Court Records database (ICR), and the Mechanism's Judicial Records and Archives Database (JRAD).
The aim is to allow users to undertake a comprehensive search across the judicial records of all three organisations with a single search query, and at the same time improve accessibility to the records.
We are interested in hearing about your experiences in using the ICR to research ICTY records, JRAD to research ICTR records, or for internal users, your experience in using the ICTY Judicial Database.
The results of the survey will assist us in tailoring the search functions of the UJDB to best meet the needs of its users. Thank you for your assistance.
