Magdalena Spalińska, Spokesperson for Registry and Chambers, made the following statement:

Good afternoon,

I will turn straight to the activities in the courtrooms:

Radislav Krstić’s initial appearance will be held tomorrow afternoon at 15:30 in Courtroom III. Krstić, former Commander of the Drina Corps of the Bosnian Serb Army (VRS), has been charged with contempt of the Tribunal for failing to comply with, or to show good cause why he could not comply with, a subpoena in which he was ordered to testify in the case of Radovan Karadžić. Further information on the case can be found online.

A Status Conference in the appeals case of Vlastimir Đorđević will be held next Tuesday, 9 April at 14:45 in Courtroom I.

In the case of Radovan Karadžić, the Trial Chamber is currently hearing the testimony of Milovan Bjelica who is testifying about the events in Sokolac, where he was President of the municipal board of the Serbian Democratic Party. He is the 120th witness to be called so far by the Defence.

Proceedings in the case of Ratko Mladić and Goran Hadžić will resume on Monday, 8 April in the morning in Courtroom I and II respectively.
