International Criminal Court: statement by ICTY President, Judge Claude Jorda

On behalf of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the President, Judge Claude Jorda, welcomes the establishment of the International Criminal Court.

This event constitutes a crucial step in the fight against impunity, as well as for the recognition of the victims. The work accomplished to date by the ad hoc Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and for Rwanda will thus be continued and amplified.
