PRESIDENT MERON MEETS WITH UNITED STATES SECRETARY OF STATE IN WASHINGTON D.C.




The President of the ICTY, Judge Theodor Meron, participated in a meeting of the leadership of the two ad hoc Tribunals with the US Secretary of State, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, in Washington D.C. yesterday, 15 June, 2005.


The meeting included, in addition to President Meron, the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), Judge Erik Mose, ICTY Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, and ICTR Prosecutor, Hassan Jallow.


Following this, President Meron had a private meeting with the Secretary of State.
