The Tribunal's Prosecutor, Serge Brammertz, held a working meeting in The Hague today with Swedish Foreign Minister, Carl Bildt. During the meeting the Prosecutor briefed the Minister on the on-going activities of the prosecution.



Carl Bildt has held several senior UN and European Union (EU) positions, including serving as the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Balkans, a position he held between 1999 and 2001. From June 1995 he was the EU's Special Envoy to the former Yugoslavia. He co-chaired the Dayton Peace Conference in November of that year and served as High Representative for Bosnia and
Herzegovina immediately following the end of the war in 1995 until 1997.
