From 5 to 7 October, Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be in Sarajevo and Mostar.
The Prosecutor has been invited to give lectures to students of the Universities of Sarajevo and Mostar, where he will speak about the contemporary challenges of International Criminal Justice.
In Mostar, the Prosecutor will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Old Bridge and Old Town of Mostar and discuss the protection of cultural heritage with UNESCO representatives. He will also take the opportunity to meet with the representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton to discuss the processing of war crimes and issues of mutual interest.
In Sarajevo, the Prosecutor will meet with Valentin Inzko, High Representative for BiH, Jonathan Moore, Head of OSCE Mission to BiH and Sezin Sinanoglu, UNDP Resident Representative.
Prosecutor Brammertz’s regular mission to the region in preparation of his report to the United Nations Security Council will take place in the coming months.
