As part of preparations for his regular biyearly report to the UN Security Council (UNSC), Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be in Sarajevo from 19 to 21 October.
The Prosecutor will meet with relevant authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), including the BiH Presidency, Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor, Meddžida Kreso, President of the BiH Court, and members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.
As on previous missions, Prosecutor Brammertz will hold a number of meetings with representatives of victims’ associations. Additionally, the Prosecutor will meet with the representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons, BiH Prosecutor’s Office and relevant international partners to discuss ways to further support the important process of searching for missing persons.
The Prosecutor will also meet with the representatives of the international community, including the High Representative and the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation.
The Prosecutor’s mission to Sarajevo is the first of the two missions to the region to be undertaken in the coming month. His mission to Belgrade is planned to take place in November and will be announced in due time.
Prosecutor Brammertz’s address to the UNSC has been scheduled for early December this year.
