The Hague, 29 May 1997
CC/PIO/203-E

Visit of the State Prosecutor of Montenegro.

The State Prosecutor of Montenegro, Mr. Vladimir Susovic, accompanied by the Assistant Foreign Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Veselin Sukovic, and the Senior Prosecutor of Podgorica, Mr. Vlado Vukovic, visited the Office of the Prosecutor between 27 and 29 May 1997.

In the course of the visit the delegation met the Prosecutor of the Tribunal, Judge Louise Arbour, the Deputy Prosecutor, Mr. Graham Blewitt, and other senior members of the Prosecutor's Office.

The talks concerned a number of operational matters which must remain confidential, but the meetings were productive and both Judge Arbour and Mr. Susovic are pleased that their Offices have established relations and are developing an understanding about the work being undertaken by each. Both hope that this relationship will develop in future, and that contacts will continue for their mutual benefit.
