Prosecutors from Bosnia and Herzegovina
and the OSCE Ambassador Visit the Tribunal

A group of Cantonal and District Prosecutors from Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded today their two-day working visit to the Tribunal. This visit represented another element in the Tribunal’s broad programme of cooperation with national judiciaries.

The Tribunal remains committed in its support to the development and strengthening of the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in those states of the former Yugoslavia where it has jurisdiction.

A joint effort of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Tribunal’s Outreach Programme, the visit was designed to acquaint the prosecutors with the work of the Tribunal and examine ways to enhance support.

The Prosecutors were welcomed by the Registrar and met with a wide array of officials from the Tribunal’s Office of the Prosecutor, Chambers and Registry.

The Prosecutors were accompanied by the OSCE Head of Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Douglas Davidson. The Tribunal’s President and Prosecutor used the opportunity to have bilateral meetings with the Ambassador to discuss a range of issues related to the rule of law.
